OMAKASE is a Japanese word that means “Entrust”. It’s used mainly in Japanese restaurants, where customers might say “Omakase onegaishimasu”, which you could also translate as “Chef, I’m in your hands”. When they say this, they are asking the chef to select and prepare food for them in a manner of his choice. Of course, you can let him know your requests if you have a preference. This usually results in a very good meal at a reasonable price as the chef will feel obliged to cook a worthy meal out of the freshest foods he has, to reward and retain a valued customer’s trust in him.
Our travel site “OMAKASE TOUR” was made by following this culture. We offer the Japanese charm through nature, history, traditional culture, food, etc. that our professional travel planners and guides chose for you in the form of tours and experiences. Make your own kitchen knife with a master blacksmith in Shimanto
Excellent tour of Yanaka with Wakana today who was fantastic and very personable. She was very good at judging our small group's pace as it was very hot and she even took us to a local coffee shop to cool down and have some drinks. She was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to since she used to live in the U.S. herself. Without the tour we may have never seen the area and without Takei who joined us on our tour (owner), we may have not had the amazing ramen he suggested at the end of the tour. Thanks for everything :).

An amazing cultural experience in Shimanto!
I participated in a workshop with Master Hayashi making our own knives. The experience was absolutely amazing as we actually got to participate in all steps of the knife making/forging process. The master was so helpful in explaining the techniques we should use for each step and provided perfect guidance along the way. His hospitality throughout the entire experience was amazing and I can recommend this experience enough.

Incredible Kamakura ❤️
I had the most AMAZING time on the Kamakura Walking Tour! I was able to soak up the serenity of this spiritual seaside town and thanks to my very kind and knowledgable tour guide, Yoko, learn all about the history and symbolism of the immortalised deities and picturesque shrines and temples. So much clarity in a headspace amongst the treetops. Feeling suitably zenified. Goal attained! Thank you Yoko for making this trip one I'll always cherish! I would highly recommend this fabulous tour, which provided fodder and fuel for all five of my senses.
