Kathmandu

Kathmandu is an old bustling city full of dynamic street life. Honking taxis and roaring motorcycles make their way through narrow streets. On street corners you will see Shiva statues and small Buddhist altars. Religion plays a big part in everyday life here. The Narayanhiti Palace Museum and the famous Thamel district are worth visiting. In the palace you can admire the various rooms and interiors, while in Thamel you can stroll along colorful boutique shops with Nepalese and Tibetan wares and cozy restaurants. From pashmina scarves and metal singing bowls, to incense holders, felt jewelry and paper-mâché dolls. You can find these typical Nepalese products here. Don’t forget to look for an authentic Nepalese yak cheese sandwich.

Everest Base Camp Trek

Make sure you bring your best walking shoes for this journey as the hike to the Everest Base Camp takes about 13 days on average. And on the way, you will visit traditional Sherpa villages and take long walks through rugged Nepalese natural surroundings. This is a special environment, where you will experience a reality that is far from everyday life at home. In total you will walk up to an altitude of 5300 meters to reach the famous Everest Base Camp. On the way you will slowly adjust to the altitude to avoid altitude sickness.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna is an area that spans over 7500 square kilometers and is the first and largest National Park in Nepal. Here you will find the world famous Annapurna Circuit which has a length that ranges from 160 to 230 kilometers. This well-known trek is so popular because it is relatively easy to climb, and it is possible to do this without a guide as inexperienced hikers although not recommended. However, it still remains a challenging journey. Snow-capped peaks, misty valleys, remote traditional communities, Sherpa villages and old monasteries will be some of the sights you’ll encounter during this trip through this spectacular mountainous wilderness.

Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur is the smallest and most picturesque of the three royal cities of Nepal. Here you’ll find authentic Buddhist temples and ancient works of arts made of wood, metal. Bhaktapur is truly a culture and history lover’s paradise. It is a city made to explore and its center is a maze of old medieval streets, atmospheric town squares, courtyards and other characteristic buildings. The Chitwan National Park

The beautiful Chitwan National Park is another highlight of Nepal. This subtropical forest became a National Park in 1973 for good reason. Here you can still find wild elephants, tigers, and countless colorful birds, monkeys, and crocodiles. Chitwan is also well-known for the rhinos that still love there. The combination of river plains and forests make it a suitable habitat for these animals. There are different tours available here where you’ll explore the rainforests and experience the lush surroundings. The Boudhanath Stupa

The Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest and most important buildings of its kind in Nepal. This is a World Heritage Site and it also serves as an icon of the city and as the epicenter of Tibetan Buddhism in the region. This Buddhist complex has a number of monasteries surrounding it. The base of the stupa is massive and it holds a hefty dome and a towering mandala, a golden triangular spire at the top. You can also admire the colorful statues around the dome and the tower's beautiful painted eyes. According to local people, circling the stupa can help free you from your sins.

Pokhara

The lovely Pokhara is located on the calm and beautiful Phewa Lake, surrounded by some of Nepal's highest mountain peaks. It is also the gateway to the beautiful Annapurna Massif, a very popular area for nature walks and hiking. The landscape is astonishing here. And the Pokhara Valley is considered by many to be Nepal's most scenic place. The backdrop of dense banks, snowy mountain peaks and the crystal clear water is magical. The mountain air is also fresh and it is relaxing to see local people sailing the lake in their traditional “doongas”, hollowed log canoes and boats. There are many beautiful surroundings and highlights to explore here, so make sure to stay a few days in this unique destination. There’s a temple in the middle of the lake you can discover and some beautiful waterfalls.

Patan

Patan is one of the royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Patan is located in the center of Nepal, only separated from Kathmandu by the sacred Bagmati River. The old part of the city has a large number of temples and monasteries and is a relief for people who want to find peace and quiet. Especially around the beautiful Durbar square are a number of beautiful temples and palaces, which are built in different styles.
